The Robokids curriculum follows a philosophy of learning by creating an objective – well-established and supported by our teaching group. Our learning centres offer children age-appropriate programs that are based
on creating and commanding robots. Children will have the opportunity to create with robotic design systems from VEX® Robotics, K'NEX Computer Control Set and LEGO® Mindstorms® in Richmond and Coquitlam. Our complete program offerings include:

More than Intellectual Fun – It's Science
Why should your child take the Robokids robotics program? First, it is intellectual fun good for any child interested in robotics and science. Most of all, the study of robotics gives students concentrated instruction and meaningful exercises that introduce or reinforce an active understanding of physics, mathematics and technology.

Fundamental Robotics Teaches High-Level Skills
An exciting introduction to fundamental robotics, the Robokids curriculum works by competition and cooperation: building, programming and event participation. Students work in pairs to learn mechanical design, construction, programming and teamwork. Using building blocks, motors and sensors from LEGO® Mindstorms® in Richmond and Coquitlam, students build a variety of simple machines and robots. Then they program their robots with a computer to move, react and make sounds in order to solve challenges.

Afterschool Robolink

What: Robolink 1 Introduction to LEGO® Machine
Where: Your school
When: @ 3:15 to 4:15 PM
Age: 6 to 8
Cost: $140, tax included

Robolink is an exciting introduction to fundamental engineering. Students work in pairs to learn mechanical design, construction and teamwork. Using building blocks and motors from LEGO® and Power Function, students build a variety of simple machines and robots; then they solve challenges by controlling the machine to move and react.

Refund Policy
Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance at a scheduled class. Refund for classes cancelled by the instructor will be issued at the end of the course.

Robokids reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. Upon cancellation, a full refund will be made less classes already completed.

Dismissal Policy
Authorized Parents/Caregivers (at least 16 years of age) must sign children out of programs. The child will only be released to authorized persons on your information list. We will send the children to school office after 5 minutes of the end of the class.

Class Conduct
Robokids reserves the right to release, without refund of program fees, any child whose behaviour becomes disruptive and unmanageable. The class has a zero tolerance policy on violence. Children who intentionally harm any other persons or damage another person’s property will be released.

Personal Belongings
Robokids highly discourages students from bringing any valuable items such as an iPad or personal LEGO® models or mini-figures. Robokids is NOT responsible for damages or loss of any personal property while at a class.

Do students get to keep the model?
Since we use our supplies in classes and camps throughout the year, students do not take home projects or pieces.

What ages are the classes for?
The Robolink Level 1 classes are suitable for elementary-aged children in Grades 1-3.
The Robolink Level 2 classes are suitable for elementary-aged children in Grades 4-6.
