Who we are

Founded in 2009 in Richmond by Dr. Jason Zhang, Robokids Centre is dedicated to fostering a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among young learners. Dr. Zhang holds a PhD in Math Education from the University of British Columbia (UBC).

CROSS-DISIPLINE LEARNING For example, while working on robotics projects, students apply mathematical concepts for programming, utilize engineering principles for design, and tap into creative thinking for problem-solving.

OUR QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS Each instructor holds advanced degrees in areas such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, and education, many of whom are alumni of prestigious universities. This academic expertise allows our instructors to provide students with a deep understanding of complex concepts and real-world applications.

TAILORED INSTRUCTIONRobokids Centre offers a student-to-instructor ratio of 4:1. This low ratio allows for personalized guidance and immediate support when needed. Whether it’s through hands-on projects or interactive lessons, we ensure that every student receives the attention and resources necessary for their growth.

CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT After an initial assessment session, we create a unique learning plan for each student. This plan tailors to the student’s interests and strengths. Our carefully designed projects give students ample time to work independently while also providing opportunities to share their achievements in an engaging environment.

SELF-PACED LEARNING EXPERIENCE Students are encouraged to troubleshoot problems and correct their errors independently whenever possible. This approach fosters self-esteem and a genuine appreciation for learning, allowing students to develop essential problem-solving skills. They can carry these valuable lessons into the classroom, competitions, and everyday life, reinforcing their learning experience.
